Maritime 4 Horse Classic
Teams of four draft horses compete in hitch classes as part of the season-long Maritime Classic Series.

Sarah Darraugh
Bar JM Farm · Douglas, Ontario
Sarah and her husband Derek own and operate Bar JM Farm in Douglas, Ontario. Their operation consists of 25 Hereford cows, and they consign annually to the Autumn Alliance Hereford Sale, marketing both females and bulls to seedstock and commercial producers. They have exhibited cattle across North America, proudly showcasing the Bar JM prefix.
Sarah is deeply invested in the agricultural community, with a particular passion for supporting youth in agriculture. She actively encourages youth involvement and continually seeks innovative ways to create meaningful opportunities for young people in the industry. She currently serves as Chair of the Canadian Hereford Youth Foundation, where she plays a key role in fostering leadership and development.
Off the farm, Sarah serves as a Staff Sergeant with the Ontario Provincial Police, policing in rural Ontario. She has judged at several major shows across Canada, including the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, and is excited to have the opportunity to judge in Oxford.
James Simpson
Lifelong Horseman & Farrier · Judging Since 1990
James has spent 50 years in the industry between riding and working as a farrier — a combination that has given him hands-on experience with a wide range of breeds and the chance to know horses from the ground up.
He has been judging since 1990 and has had the pleasure of judging shows all across Canada, from North Sydney, Nova Scotia to Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
