Entry Fees & Prizes
- Entry fee: $15 per head

Maritime Hereford Futurity
Thursday evening — open to anyone who owns a purebred Hereford female in the Maritimes.
Age: Senior yearling (born Jan 1 – Mar 31 of the year prior to the show). Junior Yearlings may show if exhibitor wishes.
Animals must be registered to the entering exhibitor. Any exhibitor may nominate and show as many entries as they wish. No substitutions or additions after the initial entry.
Prize money comes from a donation by major sponsor MIP Show Supplies (Marvin Peters, Kensington, PEI) plus exhibitor entry fees. Special thanks to the Nova Scotia Hereford Club for their annual support.

General Rules
- Sportsmanship required. Exhibitors, family, and supporters must show courtesy and respect to participants, judges, volunteers, and officials. Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in removal from the show and future shows.
- All cattle must be properly entered on forms provided.
- Registered purebred animals may keep horns if consistent with the breed standard. All other cattle (including commercial) must be polled or dehorned.
- Cattle can arrive Wednesday, September 2 anytime. All beef entries must be on the grounds by Thursday, September 3 at 8:00 AM SHARP, and remain on the grounds until Sunday, September 6 after the Junior Beef Show concludes.
- Breed classes run for breeds with a minimum 10 head and 2 exhibitors. Under 10 head moves to an All-Other Breed class.
- Registration papers may be randomly checked to confirm purebred status — please have copies available.
- To be eligible for Premier Breeder and Premier Exhibitor, a farm must exhibit at least 5 animals in one breed.
- The Junior Show runs throughout the weekend — a separate entry form is required.
- Thursday, Friday & Saturday: light snacks and beverages in the barn for exhibitors (donations from Tim Hortons, Midway Farms, Fort Brook and the Maritime Simmental Association).
- A meal voucher for the Oxford Fire Department will be in your welcome package.
- A schedule of which breeds show which days will be provided before the event.
